Play Instructions:

Install the game - Full Installation.
Extract the File Archive to the game directory
Execute RUNME.BAT to remove the CD-Check.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#1:

Create the following temporary directories:
- TempDir#1 : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD#1 to TempDir#1.
Extract the EGCOUT.COM Patch to: C:\TEMP\CD\SETUP\EXE
Remove the Write-Protection from: LOADLIB.DLL
Burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a CD-R using the same CD-Label as the original CD.
Remove TempDir#1.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#2:

Create the following temporary directories:
- TempDir#1 : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD#1 to TempDir#1 except for the LASERLOK directory.
Burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#1

Replace the original <TempDir#1>\SETUP\EXE\LOADER.EXE file with the one from File Archive.
Burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a 74 minutes CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#2

Create the following temporary directories:
- TempDir#1 : C\TEMP\CD
- TempDir#2 : C\TEMP\AUDIO
Copy the full contents of the original CD#2 to TempDir#1.
Extract all Audio/CDDA tracks to TempDir#2.
Create a Mixed Mode CD and burn the contents of TempDir#1 & TempDir#2 to a 74 minutes CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.
Play the Game!

NOTE:

The original CD#2 is an 80 minutes CD. But if you follow the above instructions it also fits on a 74 minutes CD-R.

Play Instructions:

Remove the Read-Only attribute from the following files:
- OUTCAST\OC\LOADER.EXE
- OUTCAST\OC\OC1.EXE
- OUTCAST\OC\OC2.EXE
- OUTCAST\OC\OC3.EXE
Extract the following files to the <GameDir>\OUTCAST\OC directory:
- LOADER.EXE
- OC1CRK.EXE
- OC2CRK.EXE
- OC3CRK.EXE
Extract the following file to the OUTCAST directory:
- OUTCASTCRK.EXE
Execute all Patches (OUTCASTCRK.EXE, OC1CRK.EXE, OC1CRK.EXE & OC1CRK.EXE) to remove the CD-Check.
Play the Game!

NOTE:

To remove the Read-Only attribute from a file Right-Click the file, select Properties and deselect the Read-only attribute.

This patch also works fine for the FRENCH & SPANISH version.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#1:

Create the following temporary directories:
- TempDir#1 : C:\TEMP\CD
Copy the full contents of the original CD#1 to TempDir#1.
Replace the original LOADER.EXE file with the one from File Archive.
Burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#2:

Start CDRWIN (3.5 or higher).
In the CDRWIN - CDROM Recording Tools window click Backup Disc.
In the Backup Disc window change the following settings (all other settings should be left default):

Main
Backup Mode...	Select Copy to Image and Record
Devices
CD Reader	Select Source CD-Reader
CD Recorder	Select Destination CD-Writer
Reading Options
Copy RAW Sectors	Select
Error Recovery...	Select Ignore
Jitter Correction...	Select Auto
Subcode Analisys...	Select Auto
Read Retry Count	0
Data Speed	1x (when possible select a faster speed)
Audio Speed	1x (when possible select a faster speed)
Recording Options
Speed	1x (when possible select a faster speed)

When ready click START to create the imagefile & burn the CD.

NOTE:

The CD-Image will be bigger than 80 minutes so use the appropriate CD-R80 media to the OverSize/OverBurn the image.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#1:

Start Nero - Burning Rom (4.0.0.5 or higher).
From the action-bar choose File and select CD-Copy.
Use the following settings (all other settings should be left default):

Image Tab
Image file	Enter a Image filename
Copy options Tab
On the fly	DeSelect
Drive with source CD...	Select Source CD-Reader
Read Speed	Max Speed
Read options Tab
Number of retries before read error	1
Ignore Read Errors	DeSelect (if selected)

When ready click Copy CD to start the copy process.

CD-Copy Instructions for CD#2:

Create the following temporary directories:
- TempDir#1 : C:\TEMP\CD
- TempDir#2 : C:\TEMP\AUDIO
Use BlindRead to copy the full contents of the original CD#2 to TempDir#1.
Create this directory: <TempDir#1>\PATCH
Extract the File Archive to the <TempDir#1>\PATCH directory.
Extract all Audio/CDDA tracks to TempDir#2.
Create a Mixed Mode CD and burn the contents of TempDir#1 & TempDir#2 to a CD-R and use the same CD-Label as the original CD.
Play the game!

Play Instructions:
