Special Projects

In addition to offering services to Riverside Community College District, the Production Printing Department also works with non-profit and community organizations. Both the District and the organizations benefit from these partnerships. Each organization pays the material cost for their projects. However, in addition, they are charged a 20% markup. This markup goes towards student scholarships and the production trust to buy equipment for the department. Even with the markup, the cost is considerably less than outside companies.

Who qualifies for special projects?

  • Non-Profit organizations
  • District Partnerships
  • Events co-sponsored by RCCD
  • Personal Projects for RCCD employees that are not for an outside business

*Please note that qualifying as one of the above organizations does not guarantee printing services. It simply qualifies you to put in a request for services.

Who does not qualify for special projects?

  • For-profit organizations
  • Businesses
  • Any event that will generate a profit for an individual or company
  • Any project not approved by the Director of Production Printing or the Dean of Occupational Education.

All special projects have to be approved prior to work beginning.

Job approvals are based on the specifications of the job and the time line needed.

Please be aware that the Production Printing Departments primary function is to provide services to the District. For this reason, District deadlines are met before any outside projects. We may ask that you allow more lead time for your project in order to meet your deadline.
